Volunteering
for our Public Education program is a great way for people of any age to get
involved with the fire service without having to go through the extensive
training that firefighting requires. Fire District 7 has a nationally
recognized Public Fire and Life Safety education program. If you enjoy
working with people then we have opportunities where you can work with children,
adults, and/or senior citizens. We have two curriculums that are being
taught in the South Kitsap School District, Learn
Not to Burn and Risk Watch. Both of programs have areas where
volunteers could be utilized. We also have a fall prevention and fire
safety program called Remembering When program which we offer to our
senior citizens. If you a your are the creative type then we would love to
get you involved with our puppet program. The opportunities in this area
are limitless. If you're interested please give us a call and we can go
over all the possibilities with you.
